ANALYSIS OF TOURIST FLOWS IN UKRAINE TAKING INTO ACCOUNT RESOURCE POTENTIAL, TRANSPORT NETWORK, AND SEASONALITY

Abstract

Subject of the study – the distribution of tourist flows in Ukraine, taking into account resource potential, transport accessibility, and seasonal fluctuations, with consideration of regional characteristics. Purpose of the study – to analyze the distribution of tourist flows in Ukraine based on the assessment of resource potential, transport accessibility, and seasonal fluctuations, considering regional characteristics. Research methodology. The study applied methods of system analysis, statistical comparison, as well as an assessment of the tourist attractiveness of territories. When selecting priority routes, geospatial connections between tourist flow centers, transport hubs, and the structure of internal movements were considered, which allows evaluating the distribution of tourists in terms of resource potential and accessibility. Results. The main directions of tourism development were identified, and the importance of domestic tourism as a factor of socio-economic stability was substantiated. It was shown that route planning requires consideration of transport accessibility, regional resource potential, and the use of digital tools to optimize travel time, comfort, and the availability of services. Scope of application. The results can be used by tour operators, in the development of regional tourism programs, in forming strategies for using recreational potential, creating competitive tourist products, and in educational activities. Conclusions. Effective development of tourist flows is possible through the systematic use of territorial resource potential, improvement of the transport network, consideration of seasonality, and implementation of modern tour-rating tools. Prospects for further research: the development of sustainable tourism models that take into account resource potential, transport accessibility, and seasonal fluctuations of tourist flows.
